The man standing on the other side of the field was pretty hot.

That's about as much as Doug had to say on the matter, he hadn't been able to find out much on his next opponent before arriving at the Battle Tent. Still, it was his policy to be friendly and polite, so he grinned broadly and waved.

One couldn't fault Doug for staring, right? The man was all... there. Nobody ever got sent to jail for window shopping.

Jokes aside, it really was getting hot in that bloody stadium.

The heat was something horrifyingly spectacular, but fortunately for them, Doug was ready to combat it the only way possible.

"Awright then, let's just go ahead and get started!" The youth said said as the roaring of the crowd grew louder, rearing back before throwing his net ball high in the air. "Get in there, Lepi! Let's do away with this bloody heat!"

His netball summoned to the field an elegan Frosmoth, the large insect spreading her wings broadly before almost scowling as the world greeted her with intolerable heat.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]Bryan would have to see if this battle made it worth giving his name to this guy. He knew he was a gym leader but he really wanted to see what the fuss was all about with this guy. [break][break]
So he was going to test him personally.[break][break]

Bryan saw the frostmoth and was interested, maybe Soliel would like on? they seemed really beautiful.. especially considering the fact that the sun was really beating her down as of late. he'd think about it later as he sent out his own pokemon. "Serena." he called as his Hatterene took the battle field. [break][break]
The hatterene started things off with a bang creating a display of dazzling light as it used dazzling gleam.

"Get some distance and set your stage!" Doug ordered as dazzling lights filled the battlefield, his frosmosh flapping her wings powerfully to draw her body higher into the air and away from the radiance, frozen scales falling off her fur.

Raising her gaze to the skies with a croon, the sunny day turned dark as clouds filled the heavens, before chunks of ice began to fall from the sky, turning the warm summer day into a cool wintery afternoon!

[attr="class","bryanbody"]The ice crystals raining from the pelted hatterene's body, the damage was miniscule in scale but it was still enough that bryan had to take it into account. [break][break]

He didn't really have a way to stop it aside from just outright defeating the frosmoth so he aimed to take it out as quickly as possible. "Hatterene! Magic powder!" he ordered as the hatterene gathered up a ball of pink dust and psychic energy and flung it at the frostmoth to change it's typing to Psychic.

Hi there, person who surely will never try to shoot me dead!

The Shadowball soared through the air, striking the Frosmoth as it descended from its Aurora-induced stupor, the blow much more powerful against it than it usually would been due to the its changed typing.

However, even before it hit, one could see the shadows visibly diminish and weaken as they approached, the light of the aurora seemingly warding against it.

Spreading her wings wide to stop her reeling, a drawn out croon left the Frosmoth's throat as she rose, the skies darkening as the aurora gleamed.

"Show'em the power of hail- Blizzard!" Boomed Doug as he swept his arm across the air, harsh winds accompanying the hail as his Frosmoth flapped her wings powerfully, releasing frozen gales upon the enemy, the soil visibly freezing and crackling as the winds swept over the battlefield and towards the Hatterene.

Frosmoth used Aurora Veil!

[attr="class","bryanbody"]Hatterene was pelted by the blizzard and hail together, damn that was an annoying combo for sure. She had to work quickly to warm herself up, she whispered some words to herself, muttering softly against the storm and channeled some fires around her body. She then realized they'd be a good weapon against the pokemon in front of her and launched the orbs of fire at the frosmoth.

The fire blasted at the Frosmoth's form, searing at her body as she released a cry of pain, flapping away. Normally, such an attack would have been devastating for an ice and bug typing- but she had become a pure psychic type for the moment. With the Aurora Veil further weakening the fire, smothering the blazing hot flames with its cool glow, the pokemon eventually managed to recover and push back the flames, much to its own surprise.

Now for vengeance!

"Show 'em yer yodelin', Lepi!"

A loud thrumming filled the air as the Frosmoth retaliated, her wings flapping so swiftly they blurred, shockwaves spreading alongside the walls and glass surfaces nearby as the pokemon reeled back and released a thunderous croon, a shockwave blasting outwards!

Frosmoth used Bug Buzz!

[attr="class","bryanbody"]Fucking BUGS, bugs were gross. Bryan and hatterene both hated bugs and somehow that just made this battle x10 worse as he was tired of bugs. However he was to drunk to actually remembered he used magic pwoder to change it's typing to pure psychic. [break][break]
Hatterene decided then after the bug buzz was over to fire off a shadow ball to try and damage it again as much as he could. This battle of attrition was one hatterene was about to lose.

The Frosmoth hadn't forgotten the pain that came with the shadow ball however, eyes widening in terror as it launched at it.

"Hit the deck!" Ordered Doug sharply, snapping the Frosmoth out of it and making it flap its wings to launch its body into a diving maneuver, the bug spreading them wide before it face planted along the floors and soaring mere inches away from the frozen earth.

"Finish this, Lepi! Blizzard!" Ordered the youth, his Frosmoth releasing a loud croon as the floors beneath it began to freeze solid, the hail around it picking up into a storm of ice as it flapped its wings, sending the frozen breeze towards the Hatterene!

[attr="class","bryanbody"]It was a major disadvantage that hatterene was slow, what made it even worse is that it couldn't fly like Frosmoth, the blizzard froze hatterene solid. The pokemon broke through the ice but by then it was too late.[break][break]

Hatterene fainted and Bryan recalled the pokemon to it's pokeball and he sucked on his teeth. Man he hated losing, then again the whiskey made it an easier pill to swallow. He kicked some of the snow that accumulated "Oh well, good fight man." he told him, trying to be a good sport.
